Plan for the format

A vertical upload up to three minutes is suitable for the Shorts experience: one clear idea, an immediate opening and readable on-screen text work well on mobile. Longer videos should use a title and description that explain the subject honestly. Do not use unrelated thumbnails or exaggerated claims simply to attract a click.

Publish only what you can share

You must own your recording or have permission to use every protected element it contains, including music, footage, artwork and performances. Giving credit does not replace permission. When your content includes sponsorship, paid promotion or synthetic media, use the available disclosure fields and explain the relationship to viewers.

Add useful context

Titles, captions, categories and descriptions help both people and discovery systems understand a video. Describe what a viewer will learn or experience. Add captions where possible, identify important sources and correct material errors. Repeated uploads with little change, copied compilations and automatically produced material without meaningful review may be restricted.

Build a genuine audience

Ask viewers relevant questions, respond constructively and use channel updates to explain what comes next. Artificial views, purchased engagement, self-watching loops and misleading traffic exchanges damage recommendations and are excluded from earning calculations. Sustainable growth comes from useful content and returning viewers.

Host responsibly

Before going live, choose a clear title, category and audience setting. Hosts remain responsible for invited guests and should appoint trusted moderators when a room becomes busy. Moderators can help manage comments and participants according to the permissions the host assigns. End a session or remove a participant when safety cannot be maintained.

How creator earnings are handled

Available monetisation may include eligible advertising, tips, gifts, subscriptions and live revenue shares. A view alone does not always create advertising revenue. Earnings depend on the eligible event, applicable split and successful verification. Pending balances may be held before withdrawal, and fraudulent or reversed transactions are removed from the account record.

Review performance thoughtfully

Use Studio information to compare watch time, completion, audience response and publishing consistency. A smaller group that watches and returns can be more valuable than a brief spike. Protect account access, keep payout information current and report technical problems with the affected content link and time of occurrence.
